Can Swap-Free Accounts Be Used for Scalping Strategies?

I’m working on short-term strategies and wondering if a swap-free trading account works well for scalping. Since scalpers don’t usually hold trades overnight, is there any real advantage? Or does the account type affect spreads and commissions enough to matter?
